Orquesta Esterlar s a community-based Cuban big band based in the heart of London. The band has been in existence for more than 15 years and is led by Sara McGuinness. Orquesta Estelar has a diverse membership of professional and amateur musicians aged 18-75 from all walks of life. The band play Cuban music with the swing and exuberance that has made it popular throughout the world. At a band membership of 45, This is surely the biggest Cuban Big Band you will encounter. Although, not all 45 will be able to make the show, expect around 30.

Orquesta Estelar play Salsa, Cuban Son. Cha Cha Cha and more, regularly wowing audiences with their spectacular sound and great vibes. Not only is the music great, but Orquesta Estelar create a great vibe which enhances the lives of members and audiences alike.

 
Orquesta Estelar is led by the formidable team of Sara McGuinness, Bill Bland and Jimmy Martinez and rehearse weekly in SOAS (The School of Oriental and African Studies), Russell Square. Band members are a mix of professional, semi-professional and amateur musicians. The band is a great way to learn about Cuban music performance, and have a lot of fun doing so.
